Exercise: Writing a brief

• The illustrator has to create an illustration for a book.
• The client wants a beautiful illustration which will be an introduction to the story about little boy and his amazing adventures in the big forest.
• The main target audience is children between five and ten years old
• The illustration will be reproduced as a cover for a book and as one of the pages inside of the book.  It needs to work well on the cover of size 16x 24 cm
• There are no colour restrictions, however the client requested an illustration full of green colours.
• There is a request to leave a space for the title, author name and surname on the bottom left corner of the page.
• The deadline for the initial ideas is the end of this month.  The deadline for the visuals and the finished artwork is April 2012
