- How does your sense of the image and its meaning change when the figure is smaller than the other elements?
Composition nr. one, two, five and seven is a good example of it. The figure of running girl is smaller than the rest. On the composition nr. one there is a bigger distance between the girl and the house. The composition nr. two makes a different impression where the distance between the girl and the house is not as that big as between the viewer. The composition nr. seven gives a sense of the space as the girl is smaller than the tree but the tree is bigger than the house standing so far away.
- If the elements are at differing angles to each other and at the frame, what dynamic is suggested?
I could not to find information how to describe the dynamic in professional way; however, it looks to me that the composition nr. three, four and six shove a big dynamic as the objects are moving and they have different angel to each other.
- If all the elements are completly horizontal and vertical in relation to the frame what dynamic is suggested? What is your opinion about this image and what sensation does it communicate?
Composition nr. one, two, five and seven look clam and correct if I can describe in this way. However, they may look quite boring and predictable if we compare the composition with the rest. There is still a dynamic of objects but it does not look as interesting as the composition nr. three.
- Which is your favourite composition? Explain why you feel it is most succesful.
My favourite composition is nr. four and the reason for this is the house in the top left corner. The little girl looks like she is running in this direction completely breaking the rules of gravity. There is a good dynamic and the horizontal line makes it even more interesting to my eye.
